I can almost hear the mandolins. Definitely time for a visit to Arthur Avenue and a taste of old Italy, not to mention a chance to see old friends and colleagues from our closest and dearest DB neighbor. This year, da Bronx is hosting our get together. The CME lecture will be on “The Evolving Role of the Psychiatrist Within the Changing Mental Health System.” RSVP to Christina, (centraloffice@wpsych.org) (914) 967-7065 (Bronx) or 6285 (PSW). 6:00-9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 24. Marios, 2342 Arthur Avenue, Bronx, NY 10458. It’s on the left near the end of the street as you go South from Fordham Road. See you there, -JS

Annual Bronx-Westchester Meeting 3/24/10
Saturday, March 13th, 2010MYSSNY Advocacy Day Tuesday March 9
Sunday, March 7th, 2010 There is a serious imbalance. When it comes to policy, physicians are outgunned and hugely outspent by lobbies of insurance companies and other big players. Their profit-making policies should not take away from our patient’s care. This is your chance to join your MYSSNY colleagues to speak up. Busses will be rolling this Tuesday. Our own Karen Gennaro, secretary of the Westchester Medical Society says, “Meet at 333 Westchester Avenue, White Plains in the main parking lot on the lower level which is visible from I-287. Buses will leave at 6:30am on Tuesday, March 9th.” Contact: call Denise or Brian at the Medical Society office (914) 967-9100 to reserve you complimentary seat. Alternatively, you may email Denise at: doneill-at-wcms.org. Note: I am trying out a policy of avoiding the @ sign to reduce mechanized spam. — JS
