NY Says Yes to E/M Codes

NYSPA reports success in urging the New York State Insurance Commission to remind insurers that they can’t refuse E/M claims from Psychiatrists. Circular Letter No. 17 now affirms it, so if you don’t know how to use E/M codes, be sure to attend the PSW Technology Update (See post below). You will get the whole story on how your patients may be eligible for increased reimbursement rates with proper coding.
